I received a phone call that morning that things were starting but I was not needed yet. I went back to bed for a little while and then got up and made sure I ate a good meal.

It was such a beautiful day outside. For being in the middle of Nebraska in November, we had a nice break from the cold that day. The sun was shining in all the windows. It was just a good day to welcome a baby earthside.
After I arrived we labored at home for a while. After switching positions a few times and eating a snack they decided it was time to go.
After arriving at the hospital and getting settled in we were met by her family. Their balance between support and giving her space was so perfect.
It was also wonderful to see how well her husband supported her. After many changes in labor position, hip squeezes it was time to start pushing. They soon welcomed a beautiful baby girl into the world.
